Design Details:
Postal stamps represent image of highly significant person or subject. Here the logo has been design to show the importance of civil engineering, the first and foremost branch of engineering discipline, also called “mother of engineering”. Civil engineering shares a great historical background, so the logo has been design to impart an old look.
The image in stamp represents importance of civil engineering in the whole world (represented by map on the background). It shows renowned structures that represent development of infrastructure, structure bridging the gap (bridge) which plays a major role in connectivity, and other structure like power plant and refineries.
Date on the left is to show the year of establishment of civil engineering in NIT Trichy.
